Josephine Haywood
October 18, 1937 - July 12, 2023

Josephine Raburn Midgette Haywood, 86, passed away peacefully at home, with her children by her side, July 12, 2023. She was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and reunited with many loving family members.

Jo loved her family very much and is survived by her two children, Randy Midgett (Amy) and Pamela Midgette Aliffi (Tim), ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; her two sisters Lenora Bright and Doris Cahoon (Wahab), and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jo liked to travel and returned to Swan Quarter at every opportunity. She enjoyed singing and family dinners and was famous for her fried chicken. Jo lived a long and full life and will be terribly missed.

A graveside service will be held Monday, July 24, 2023,  at 2:00 pm at Mount Olive Church of Christ Cemetery in Ponzer Community, NC. Pastor Raffael Farrow, Jr., will officiate.
