Larry Y. Blinson

Larry Yates Blinson, 69, of Engelhard, died, Friday, August 9, 2019, at the Outer Banks Hospital.

Born in Johnston County, December 16, 1949, he was the son of the late James Battle and Lilly Mable Deans Blinson. He was married to the former Glenda Gibbs who survives.

He was a member of Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2019, at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ. Steven Mills will officiate. Burial will follow in the Gibbs Family Cemetery.

In addition to his wife surviving are three daughters, Chrystal Lee of Engelhard, Stephanie Boggs and husband, Jim of Clayton, Anita Martinez and husband, Joe of Raleigh; four grandchildren, Hannah Boggs, Sarah Boggs, Gloria Martinez and Brandon Martinez; two brothers, Tommy Blinson and wife, Kay of  Hampton, NC, Bobby Blinson and wife, Bonnie of Whispering Pine, NC; a sister, Becky Cobb and husband, Dennis of Clayton; a sister in law, Becky Blinson of Smithfield; forty five nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother James Blinson and a niece, Dennise Cobb

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter.
