Linda H. Berry
August 26, 1947 – December 21, 2023

Linda Hodges Berry, 76, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at her residence in Kill Devil Hills.

Linda was born in Beaufort County on August 26, 1947, to the late Lloyd Benjamin and Mable Gibbs Hodges. She was married to Thomas Carlton Berry who survives.

She was a member of the Engelhard Baptist Church. She loved God, her church and enjoyed painting.

 During her early years, she worked for the former East Carolina Bank as VP of Human Resources, Cypress Point Nursing Home as an office administrator, as a caseworker with the Department of Social Services, and as an Emergency Medical Technician for the County of Hyde.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at the Engelhard Baptist Church. Pastor Joe Stutter will officiate. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

In addition to her husband surviving is a son, Michael T. Berry (Cheryl) of Shallotte, NC; four grandchildren, Angelica Weiler (Jared) of Olympia, NC, Charles Berry of Shallotte, Bethany Berry of Shallotte and Jacqueline Sheehan (TJ) of Kelly, NC; one great-granddaughter, Briella Sheehan and a brother, Tommy Upton (Judy) of Washington.

She was also preceded in death by a brother Buddy Upton.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to assist the family with ongoing expenses to Thomas C. Berry, 125 D Colington Pointe Dr., Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948.
