Lottie Wittmann Roughton of Columbia, died, Monday, May 25, 2020 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Mrs. Lottie was born in Nurnberg, Germany on February 4, 1928 to the late Johann and Margaret Behr Wittman. She was married to the late Ernest F. Roughton who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church. During her early years she worked for the Columbia Hospital and the Chowan County Hospital as a laboratory technician.

A private service will be held at the family plot in Azalea Memorial Gardens.

Surviving are four daughters Ernestine R. Hassell (Elmo), Linda Spruill, Barbara R. Fleming (Jimmy), and Heidi R. Worten all of Columbia; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a granddaughter Amy H. Norman.
