Margaret Simpson Taylor

Margaret "Maggie" Simpson Taylor, 79, of Plymouth, NC, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the Carrolton of Plymouth.
Margaret was born on May 20, 1942, to the late Lucian Gray and Ada Blanche Simpson.
Margaret was a devoted daughter and long-time member of the Christian Hope Church of Christ. Margaret worked at Weyerhaeuser in Plymouth for many years, beginning as a secretary and retiring as the Regional Manager of Transportation. After retiring, she served as the director of the area American Red Cross. Known for her outspoken manner, dry wit, sharp mind, and matter-of-fact capability, she will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at Hillside Memorial Gardens on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Blanche Taylor of Raleigh, and son, Doyle Gray Taylor (and wife, Kathy) of Jesup, GA; three grandchildren: Ethan Gray Taylor, Emma Sophia Taylor and Aiden Zane Taylor; and her sister Mary Alice Cosgrove and brother-in-law Jack of New Bern.
