Mary Patrick Alexander

Mary Louise Patrick Alexander, 75, of Plymouth, died on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Washington Regional Medical Center.

Mary Alexander was born on January 23, 1947, in Tyrrell County, to the late Sam C. and Ada Leigh Jernigan Patrick.  She was married to the late Carl Ray Alexander, for fifty-one years.

She was a member of the Plymouth Church of Christ and spent her working years as a bank teller with BB&T. Mary loved dancing, gardening, and traveling with her husband.  She loved her children and grandchildren with all her heart.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at the Plymouth Church of Christ, officiated by Jay Hardison.  Friends may visit with the family at the church one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Azalea Memorial Gardens in Columbia.

Mary is survived by her daughters:  Julie A. Smith and husband Wade of Greenville, Paula A. Willis and husband Gene of Plymouth, and Carla A. Forbes and husband Earnest of Richmond Hill, GA; grandchildren:  Joshua Roughton, Colleen Roughton, Allison Patrick, Ernest Smith, Joshua Forbes, Aaron Forbes; great-grandchildren:  Jessica Roughton, Jacob Roughton, Gracelynn Roughton, Ashlee Horton, Axxon Patrick and Sophia Forbes; and her brother, Rudy Patrick, and wife Flora of Columbia.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren – Amanda Rhodes and Seth Forbes.
