Mary Louise (Cahoon) Gray

Mary Louise (Cahoon) Gray, 72, of Columbia, died Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Cross Creek Health Care in Swan Quarter, NC.

Mary was born in Tyrrell County on April 20, 1949, to the late Clarence Flowers and Gladys Bateman Cahoon.

She and her sister Barbara Ann operated the former Sentell’s Restaurant in Columbia, NC for thirteen years.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 14, 2021, at Azalea Memorial Gardens, in Columbia, NC. Royce Reynolds will officiate. 

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Gray-Bredesen (Bill Bailey) of Columbia and Jackie Lynn Gray of Columbia; four grandchildren, Courtney Gray Bond, Steven Bredesen, Emily Bredesen, Megan Bredesen; two great-grandchildren, Emma Misner and Isabella Bond; a sister Fleedie Reynolds and her husband Royce of Columbia, and a brother, Clarence Edward “Eddie” Cahoon and wife Sharon of Virginia Beach.

She was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Ann Brickhouse.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 6:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
