Max Owen Liverman, 87, of Columbia, passed away, Friday, August 30, 2024, at ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton.

Mr. Max was born in Tyrrell County on October 27, 1936, to the late Jack and Ernestine Ballance Liverman. He was married to Nancy Brickhouse Liverman who preceded him in death.

Max had a gift for writing short stories and storytelling, he was a talented artist who loved to sketch, draw and paint. His artistic gift extended to woodworking building lighthouses, musical instruments and donating them to local charities to be auctioned. He loved gardening and sharing his bounty with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing but the one thing he loved the most was spending time with his family.

Per his request no services will be held at this time.

Surviving is a daughter, Melanie L. Armstrong of Columbia; a son, Steve Liverman (Lora) of Columbia; three grandchildren, Leah Spohn (Nevin) of Edenton, Andrew Armstrong (Kristie) of Columbia, Ben Liverman of Collington; three great grandchildren, Anderson Armstrong, Ryland Armstrong and Levi Spohn.
