Maxie M. Cahoon
May 11, 1933 – May 6, 2025

Maxie Marshall Cahoon, 91, of Engelhard, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at ECU Health Hospice House, Greenville.

Mrs. Maxie was born in Hyde County on May 11, 1933, to the late Fred L. and Lillian Gibbs Marshall. She attended the former Engelhard United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the family plot in Fulford Cemetery. Pastor Jerald Carddock will officiate.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Surviving is a son, Michael A. Cahoon of Engelhard; a daughter, Pamela Cahoon Berry of Clayton; two granddaughters, Jill B. Warling (Joe) and Becky B. Johnson (Jon), and one great-granddaughter, Kate Warling.
