Michelle Lynn-Bateman Jackson
January 19, 1970 - February 16, 2025

Michelle Lynn-Bateman Jackson, 55, of Columbia passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

Michelle was born in Washington County, on January 19, 1970, to Roy Allen and Patricia Sawyer Bateman, Sr.  She was married to Lonnie H. Jackson, III, who predeceased her on October 31, 2024.

Michelle was a member of the Albemarle Church of Christ.  She worked in the public school system as a teacher’s assistant and taught an EMS class.  Previously, she had worked for the Tyrrell County EMS as an Intermediate EMT.   She loved the Lord, her church family, and working with children. Her loving and generous heart showed in the way she helped and cared for family and friends.   Hobbies she enjoyed were cooking and crafting. Michelle also loved her grand-dog, and her son Johnathan was the light of her life!  She will be missed deeply by family and friends.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia Chapel.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at the Albemarle Church of Christ, with Keith Hamm officiating.  Interment following at the Albemarle Church of Christ Cemetery.

She is survived by her sons Johnathan M. Williams and Denzell Spruill of Columbia; her parents, Roy and Patricia Bateman, Sr. of Columbia;  two brothers, Roy Allen Bateman, Jr. (Stacey) of Elizabeth City and David Shelton Parrott (Irene) of Texas; a sister, Jean P. Coble (Mitch) of Seven Springs, NC; her nephew, Christian James Bateman and niece Allison Marie Bateman; step-daughter, Olivia Kate Jackson of Texas and brother-in-law Russell Scott Jackson (Tammy) of Vass, NC

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Parrott.
