Margaret G. Atamanchuk

Mrs. Margaret G. Atamanchuk, 100, of Pooler, Ga, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at The Oaks at Pooler.

She was born in Martin County, NC to the late Robert Henry & Lorena Mae Jackson Gurganus.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Micheal S. Atamanchuk.  She was a member of the Pooler First Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Mary Margaret “Maggi” Nicoletta and Micheal Stephen Atamanchuk, Jr.; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 3rd at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday October 9, 2019 at Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie Gurganus will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot at Hillside Memorial Gardens.

Local arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service at Hampton Academy, Plymouth.
