Nancy B. Liverman
August 27, 1939 – February 26, 2024
Nancy “Nan” Brickhouse Liverman,84, of Columbia, died peacefully at her residence, on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Nan was born in Tyrrell County on August 27, 1939, to the late Maryland G. and Viola Patrick Brickhouse. She was married to Max O. Liverman, the love of her life, for sixty-two years, and prior to their marriage, they were sweethearts for ten years.
She was locally famous for her fudge and Christmas candy; she was an avid cross stitcher who was able to create elaborate pictures. Nan was a social butterfly who loved to carry on conversations with friends and family.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Golden Girls, and the Extension and Community Association both at the local and state level.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
In addition to her husband, surviving is a son, Steve Liverman (Lora) of Columbia; a daughter, Melanie L. Armstrong of Columbia; three grandchildren, Andrew Armstrong (Kristie) of Columbia, Ben Liverman of Hawaii, Lea Spohn (Nevin) of Edenton; three great-grandsons, Anderson Armstrong, Ryland Armstrong and Levi Spohn and a sister, Connie Liverman (Howard) of Columbia.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Pat Brickhouse, and two sisters, Frances Roughton and Marilyn Ann Bright.
