Pamela J. (Jarvis) Dickerson
October 16, 1965 – May 18, 2024

Pamela J. Dickerson, 58, of Roper passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 18, 2024.

Pamela was born in Chowan County on October 16, 1965, to Louis and Catherine Bunch Jarvis.

Pamela graduated from Beaufort County Community College as a certified nursing assistant and worked in the medical field her entire career. Pamela was a member of the Roper Baptist Church.  She had a caregiver’s heart; always willing to help others and her family no matter what.  She was very family-oriented and loved spending time with her family and grandson, Grant.  She will be missed by family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Bryan Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m., with Glenn Brickhouse officiating.  The family will receive friends at her mother’s home following the service.

Pamela is survived by her mother, Catherine B. Jarvis; a son, Justin Dickerson and wife Jessy of Plymouth, a daughter, Chelsea Dickerson of Pantego; grandson, Grant Robert Dickerson; brothers, Louis Jarvis Jr. and wife Rhonda of Roper and Chris Jarvis of Wilson; sister, Elizabeth Louvaine Pratt and husband Arnold of Plymouth; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Jarvis, and her brother Johnny Jarvis.
