Joseph Paul Lancaster
December 4, 1949 – July 24, 2026

Joseph Paul Lancaster, 76, of Creswell, NC, passed away at his residence on Friday, July 24, 2026.

Born on December 4, 1949. He was the son of the late Charlie H. Lancaster, Sr., and Vera Mae Snell Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Margie L. Perry and Kay L. Paul.

Paul was a long-distance truck driver, and later he went to work at Weyerhaeuser/ Domtar until he retired. He was a member of Philippi Church of Christ.

Paul was a loving, caring person who never saw a stranger. He loved his family dearly.

Surviving is his loving wife of 52 years, Elaine Woodley Lancaster; his two sons, William “Bill” Lancaster and wife Tempie, Charlie Lancaster and wife Rebecca; a brother, Charlie H. Lancaster (Susie); grandchildren, Brittany Lancaster (Bennett), Emily James (Trent), Anthony Lancaster (Grace), Ethan Lancaster; great-grandchild, Hudson Joseph Lancaster.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Philippi Church of Christ with Benj Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the church from 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
