Philip Oscar Marshall
March 14, 1938 – June 1, 2024

Philip Oscar Marshall, 86, of Nashville, NC passed away at home on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Philip was born on March 14, 1938, in Engelhard, NC to the late Thomas B. Marshall and Gladys G. Marshall.

He graduated from Engelhard High School and went to work for the FBI and served his country as a member of the US Army.  Philip also worked with East Carolina Bank and Atlantic Dodge.  He later retired from the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

Philip had a great love for the outdoors and was an avid hunter, who took great pride in sharing with his daughter, Phyllis.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Marshall, daughter Phyllis Kondor and son-in-law, Nick Kondor, sister, Anna M. Clarke, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by brother, Thomas B. Marshall, Jr., and sisters, Gwendolyn M. Wagner and Susie M. Jarvis.

A memorial service will be held June 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Amity Methodist Church, 31655 US Hwy 264, Engelhard, NC.
