Ray H. Roughton

July 17, 1951- December 27, 2021

Ray Houston Roughton, 70, of Columbia, North Carolina, died, Monday, December 27, 2021, at Three Rivers Health and Rehab Center, Windsor.

He was born in Tyrrell County to the late Obbie James and Virginia Comstock Roughton.  He was married to the former Patricia Ritch who preceded him in death.

Ray loved to fish, hunt and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.   

Surviving is son, Joshua Gibbs (Tracy) of Engelhard; a sister, Lisa Gibbs (Gladford) of Columbia; two brothers, Nathan Roughton of Vanceboro, and James Gibson of Columbia.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rose R. O’Neal.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
