Richard Allen Dickerson, 70, formerly of Williamston, died, on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Washington.

Richard was born in Washington County on July 24, 1954, to the late Roy Samuel and Ethel Bell Lilley Dickerson.  He was an avid golfer, winning many tournaments around the area, and during his working years, he was employed by Weyerhaeuser Corporation as a Millwright.

Per his request, no services will be held at this time.

Surviving are two sons, Richard A. “Richie” Dickerson Hardison (Trish), and Travis Dickerson Hardison (Mindy) both of Statesville, NC; fourteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Sue D. Sawyer (Henry) of Kinston; two sisters in law, Phyllis Dickerson of Plymouth, Beverly Dickerson of Williamston.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert B. Dickerson and Roy Samuel Dickerson, Jr.
