Robert D. Deaver
July 25, 1945 – July 17, 2021

Robert Denis Deaver, 75, of Columbia, died, Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Washington County Regional Medical Center, Plymouth.

Robert was born in Tyrrell County, on July 25, 1945, to the late Gordon A, Sr., and Virginia Arnold Deaver.

He worked for the former Murphy Brown, later Smithfield Hog Production as a swine farmer. He was known for his hard work ethic and generosity. He had a weak spot for cheese biscuits and loved history and reading.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bryan Funeral Service Chapel, Columbia. Pastor Prudencio Casas will officiate.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Surviving is three brothers; Gordon A. Deaver, Jr. (Rena), Allen Deaver (Patricia), both of Columbia, and Michael Deaver (Carol) of Roper; two sisters, Sue Roughton, and Nancy Roughton (Tony) both of Columbia, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Charles Deaver, Melvin Deaver, Paul Deaver, Ray Deaver, and Danny Deaver, and three sisters, Jean D. Walker, Ann D. Willoughby, and Fay D. Bateman.
