Robert B. Dickerson
December 8, 1942 – June 10, 2023

Robert Brown Dickerson, 80, of Plymouth, died, Saturday, June 10, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

Robert was born in Martin County on December 8, 1942, to the late Roy Samuel and Ethel Lilley Dickerson. He was married to the former Phyllis Ann Woolard who survives.

He was a member of Plymouth First Baptist Church where he served in the Baptist Men and the Building and Grounds Committee. Prior to his retirement, he worked as an assistant operator with the Weyerhaeuser Corporation.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Plymouth First Baptist Church. Pastor Paul Harrington will officiate. A burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens.

In addition to his wife surviving are two sons, Gary D. Dickerson of Williamston, and Joey B. Dickerson (Leigh) of Manvel, TX; four grandchildren, Justin Dickerson, Chelsea Dickerson, Wesley Dickerson, Sophie Dickerson; one great-grandchild, Grant Robert Dickerson; a brother Richard “Ricky” Allen Dickerson of Washington and a sister Sue D. Sawyer (Henry) of Kinston.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Sammy Dickerson.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023, at Plymouth First Baptist Church.
