Roger E. Peaden, II

Roger Eugene Peaden, II, 44, of Columbia, died on Monday, April 5, 2021, at Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville.
Roger was born on November 6, 1976, to the late Roger Eugene Peaden, Sr. and Ellen Baker Peaden who survives. He was married to the former Amanda Bridges who also survives.
In addition to his mother and wife surviving are three children, Maura Peaden, Jonathan Peaden, and Samuel Peaden of the home; one brother Cameron Coburn and wife Lori of Wilson; a sister Bridget Rice of Falkland; three nephews; five nieces, his mother and father-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Darrell and LoAnn Bridges of Walstonburg; his brother-in-law Owen Bridges and wife Tracy of Walstonburg and his grandmother-in-law Jane Bembenick of Swan Quarter.
He was a graduate of Farmville Central High School, class of 1995, and obtained his bachelor's degree in ministry from Liberty University in 2012. He currently was serving as Pastor for Sandy Acres Free Will Baptist Church in Columbia. Prior to his appointment at Sandy Acres Free Will Baptist Church, he attended Belvoir Free Will Baptist Church in Belvoir, NC, and Good News Free Will Baptist Church in Chesterfield, VA where he assisted these churches with their Sunday School and youth programs.
Roger was a former Volunteer Fire Fighter and an Emergency Medical Technician with Falkland Fire and Rescue, and most recently served as the Tyrrell County Volunteer Fire Department Chaplain and was a member and officer of the Tyrrell County Ministerial Association.
He worked for the Tyrrell County Public School system as a bus driver and an instructional assistant, he loved music, playing golf, and visiting the mountains.
A private memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Sandy Acres Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor Ruben Cason will officiate.
