Samantha Leigh Douglas
January 27, 1993 – September 24, 2024

Samantha Leigh Douglas, 31, of Engelhard, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at ECU Health in Greenville.

Samantha was born in Pitt County, on January 27, 1993, to the late Samuel Douglas and Debbie Ham Douglas who survives.

Samantha was a loving mother, supportive family member, and a kind friend.  She was a strong and beautiful person, inside and out, with an infectious laugh.  These qualities served her well as she cared for others in her job in health care.  Samantha should be remembered not as a victim but as a warrior.

Her cousin Lex shared: “Samantha is not only a cousin, but my sister and best friend, my partner in crime and my strong warrior.  Growing up we made countless, unforgettable memories.  We shared a bond that words can hardly describe; filled with laughter, late-night talks, and endless support.  She killed me with her crazy little laugh and smart mouth, but she always had a heart full of love.  She will truly be missed, and I promise to help take care of her babies. I love you, rest easy until we see each other again.”
 

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Engelhard Christian Church. Pastor Andy Edge will officiate.

She is survived by her mother, Debbie H. Douglas and her fiancé, Robert Gibbs, her son, Brayden Davis, daughter, Alexia Davis, her brother Josh Douglas of FL, maternal grandmother Brenda Ham of Wilson, and several aunts and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Douglas, maternal grandfather, Winston Ham, and paternal grandmother Teresa Brinn Davis, paternal grandfather, Earl Lee Douglas and her fiancé, Keyron Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to assist the family with final expenses to 119 Main St. Swan Quarter, NC 27885.
