Sidney Ray Hollis, Jr. of Columbia NC passed away January 20, 2025, at ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton NC.

Sidney was born in Fort Carson, Colorado on May 14, 1962, to the late Sidney Ray Hollis, Sr and the late Else Koch Hollis.

Sidney was a member of Malachi Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. He honorably served in the United States Army. Later he worked in Construction and in Commercial Fishing.

Sidney leaves behind his beloved wife, Rose Borga Hollis. In addition to his wife, he leaves his son Joseph Hollis of Hertford, his daughter Rosanna Ford and her husband Daniel Ford of Belvidere, three grandchildren: Madison Hartley, Kayla Brothers, and Emma Brothers, and his three sisters: Sylvia Padron of Columbia, JoAnn Hamblin of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Linda Hollis of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at Malachi Chapel Free Will Baptist Church on Saturday, February 1st, 2025 at 12:00 pm.
