Stephen Carl Cormany, Jr., 34, of Engelhard, NC, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Ridgewood Manor in Washington, NC.

Stephen Cormany, Jr. was born in Chesapeake, VA, on June 22, 1987, to the late Stephen Carl Cormany, Sr., and Deborah Bailey Cahoon, who survives.

Stephen loved football and fishing.  Favorite foods were fried chicken gizzards and mac and cheese. Regardless of the situation, Stephen always had a positive attitude; was very kind and giving, always helping anyone in need.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 7th at 2:00 p.m. at the Cahoon Family Cemetery in Kilkenny. Pastor Jerald Craddock will officiate.

Surviving is a brother, Tyler Cormany of South Dakota; five sisters, Kortni Austin of Elizabeth City, Jacqueline Cahoon and husband Clayton of Swan Quarter, Virginia Cahoon of Kinston, Deborah Lynn Cahoon of Engelhard, Samantha Cahoon of Swan Quarter, and one god-sister, Summer Etheridge of Richmond, VA; paternal grandfather, Carl E. Cormany of Alabama; step-paternal grandmother, Judy Cahoon of Kilkenny; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; three nephews and one god-niece.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Marion Bailey and George Bailey Sr.; paternal grandmother, Ruby L. Cormany; step-paternal grandfather Edison Cahoon; stepfather, William Cahoon, and niece, Sarah Davis.
