Sylvia H. Padron
February 12, 1956 – April 2, 2026

Sylvia Hollis Padron, 70, of Columbia, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving daughter, on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at ECU Health Beaufort, Washington.

Born in Richland County, SC, on February 12, 1956. Sylvia was the daughter of the late Sidney Ray and Else Irene Koch Hollis.

She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A gathering of friends to celebrate Sylvia’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at her residence at 33A Woodgate Apartments, Columbia, NC 27925.

Surviving is a daughter, Carie Johnson of Columbia; four grandchildren, Chelsie Okelley, Shane Okelley, James Okelley, and James Kyle Gibbs; two sisters, Joanne Hamblin and Linda Hollis, both of Las Cruces, NM, and her former husband and best friend, James Michael Johnson.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jamie Lynn Johnson, and a brother, Sidney Hollis.
