Teanie R. Armstrong
August 28, 1943 – December 27, 2023

Teanie Mae Roughton Armstrong, 80, passed away, Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at ECU Health Bertie Hospital, Windsor.

Mrs. Teanie was born in Tyrrell County, on August 28, 1943, to the late Morris Wesley and Dimple Spencer Roughton. She was married to Bobby Lee Armstrong who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Albemarle Church of Christ and worked as a housekeeper in the hospitality industry.

A devoted Christian, Mrs. Teanie enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and was known for being a best friend to her grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Albemarle Church of Christ. Pastor Keith Hamm will officiate. A burial will follow in the Armstrong Family Cemetery.

Surviving are two sons, Danny Lee Armstrong and wife Sherri of Hertford, Wesley Wilton Armstrong and wife Ramona of Columbia; two daughters Billie A. McNair and husband Kenny of Columbia, Bobbi A. Hassell and husband Tracy of Columbia; ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Wayne Roughton of Columbia and a brother-in-law, Joe Davenport of Columbia.

She was preceded in death by a sister Gay Davenport.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bryan Funeral Service Columbia.
