Toby Lee (Harris) Kramp

Toby Lee Kramp, 73 of Blairsville, GA (most recently residing in Columbia, NC), died on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at her residence with her family by her side.

Toby was born in Washington, DC on January 6, 1950, to the late Brooks Howell and Della Virginia Nix Harris.  She married John (Jack) Oliver Kramp, who survives her, on August 12, 1967. 

Toby spent her working years as a certified nursing assist (CNA) lovingly caring for many elderly patients.  She truly had a caregiver’s heart, not only caring for her own family, but her nieces, nephews and many countless “adopted” children and grandchildren.  She was an avid seamstress and made the most amazing Halloween costumes and bridesmaids dresses.  She was also the official Mrs. Claus for Union County, Georgia for many years putting smiles on so many children’s faces.  She loved a good food fight (which she usually started) and pulling little pranks (with the assistance of Jack) on her friends and family.  She was a role model and a mentor to many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by Tracy Anderson (daughter) and husband Tommy of Columbia, Angela Hall (daughter) and husband Kevin of Hobe Sound, FL, Tad Kramp (son “the boy”) and wife Kelly of Archdale, NC, and Amy Southards (daughter) and Brian of High Point, NC; grandchildren: Perry II, Mary-Madalena, Cheyenne, Lily and great-grandchildren: Olivia and Perry III; and many nieces and nephews who she deeply loved.

Toby was preceded in death by her grandson, John Brooks, her parents and her three sisters Aloma Quinn, Kathy Cordero and Tommie Jean Weatherspoon. 

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later time.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude’s - www.stjude.org or 800-805-5856.
