William Burr
June 7, 1930 – December 21, 2020
William Burr, 90, of Lumberton, NC, died unexpectedly Monday, December 21, 2020, at his residence.
Born in Chesterfield County, SC on June 7, 1930, to the late William Lester and Lena Rivers Burr. He was married to the former Dorothy Cuthrell who preceded him in death.
Mr. William worked as a skilled carpenter in the construction industry, he loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and often you could find him enjoying the beauty of the wildlife.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 26, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at the family plot in Soule Cemetery.
Surviving are two daughters, Salena Burr, and Brenda B. Cox (Ricky) both of Lumberton; two sons, Fred L. Burr of Hope Mills and Harvey Johnson of California; eight grandchildren, Angela Parker, Tollie Rowell (Sarah), Carla Jacobs (Corey), DeAnn Mello (Scott), Kristy Miller (Mitch), Stanley Rogers, Jeannette Springer (Michael), and Joey Johnson (Jessica), and seven great-grandchildren, Alyssa Cottrell, Emily Cottrell, Douglas Cottrell, Jr., Maria Locklear, Koa Jacobs, Carter Mello, and Olivia Mello.
