JOHN W. (“Jackie”) BORST, JR.
February 2, 1957 – November 19, 2017

John William “Jackie” Borst, Jr., 60, of 5185 Newlands Road, Columbia, died Sunday, November 19, 2017, at his home after a long battle with cancer.

Born in Jacksonville, FL. on February 2, 1957, he was the son of Louise Walker Borst of Columbia and John William Borst of Callahan, FL. He worked for many years with the Tyson Farms, Spruill Farms and Etheridge Pro Finish Coatings Inc. He enjoyed his time fishing and watching wildlife. He was a simple, loving and kind person who loved to work.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia Chapel. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a brother, Ashley Borst of Columbia; a sister, Sheila B. Darden and husband, George of Farmville; one nephew, Chase Borst and two nieces, Josie Borst and Aislinn Darden.
